A classic textbook Franklinite crystal with very sharp and highly lustrous octahedral form sits in massive Calcite matrix. The crystal measures 1.7 cm across, and the high luster gives the crystal an almost metallic appearance. Franklin is one of the most prolific and renowned localities in the world and Franklinite is one of the signature species from this area. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
