These Ethiopian amazonites have given Teller Peak specimens a real run for their money. The color of the amazonites on this specimen (to 3 cm) is a fabulous robins-egg blue. Their form is text book. But what makes this specimen so special is that the amazonites are embedded in and isolated on a field of colorless orthoclase - so they just really pop out at you! A dazzling large showpiece!
