This piece is a rather unusual Rhodochrosite from the Sunnyside Mine as the crystals are almost skeletal, and appear to have formed as "casts" after another mineral (possibly Anhydrite). The color is a rich bubblegum-pink and is aesthetically perched on matrix. This mine is no longer operating and these Rhodochrosite specimens are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
