An unusual and quite attractive Fluorite & Schorl specimen from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. The gemmy Fluorites, the largest of which is 2.4 cm, are highlighted by preferential deep purple coloration on all the smaller modified faces. Note the outlying and most isolated crystals at one end are spinel twinned. The effect is quite dramatic, both for zoning and creating an overall deep purple cast. Schorl crystals up to several centimeters grow both through and alongside the Fluorites. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
