A pristine, huge and sharp "white-cap" blue-green amazonite crystal from Teller Co., Colorado. The white-cap is cream-colored microcline not colored by iron, as the amazonite is. The base is a crude contact termination. A whitecap amazonite of this qualilty is very uncommon in this size and thus highly desirable. The color contrast is among the most striking you could ask for in a nongem species, because of the stark whiteness of the cap against that classic blue hue. MAJOR single crystal! 8.0 x 6.8 x 4.4 cm
