A gwindel, or twisted quartz, is one of the great Swiss classics. This is one of the finest miniature size quartz "gwindel" specimens I have seen in its size and style peer group, as clear ones with no color are actually more uncommon than the traditional smoky colored gwindels. This open gwindel (as the terminology goes for how it forms) is glassy and gemmy and absolutely limpid with total clarity. It is a perfect miniature. Exchanged to me from the company collection of the well known family dealership Siber and Siber, Aathal, Switzerland.
