This Adamite showcases the renowned lime green color of the Ojuela Mine. Rich contrast with the red gossan matrix makes the Adamite visually “pop.” There is some bruising on the bottom right corner and a broken cogwheel on the front of the piece. Iron oxide staining related to the gossan creates variation in the coloration. Under shortwave and longwave UV light, this piece displays the characteristic neon green fluorescence of this material. Many collectors seek a good Adamite from the Mapimi region, and this miniature is an approachably priced option.
