A classic piece from North Carolina featuring fine, sharp, red to orange-red color crystals of Rutile measuring up to 3 mm which are sitting on a nice bed of golden Muscovite. I have seen a few of these specimens over the years, and they always seem to be few and far between. Ref.: Mineralogical Record, Vol. 2, No. 2 (March/April 1971) Pg. 85.
