Ludlamite from this locale in Mexico is so rare on the market that most folks have NEVER seen a good one, but the locality did produce some superb examples for the species during the 1970's with crystals showing a textbook habit, such as this one. This miniature features one beautiful green, gemmy to translucent, compound Ludlamite crystal with a curving habit. The 1.2 cm Ludlamite has excellent luster and it sits up beautifully on the matrix. There is also a lustrous 8 mm pyrite crystal on the matrix, near the Ludlamite. This piece is showy, pretty, and important all at once! This choice, aesthetic specimen is classic, old, and very rare on the market today! It would trim to a very photogenic thumbnail, as well.
