A sharp, gemmy and lustrous, 3.7 cm, blue kyanite crystal aesthetically placed on the side of muscovite schist on this CLASSIC Swiss specimen from a famous locality. Both terminations are contacted, but this remains a highly representative piece for the species and locale. Rolf Wein, noted Alpine collector, purchased this showy specimen in 1966.
