These beautiful green fluorites are from a new locality in the mountains of Grant County, New Mexico! A friend of mine has started a new claim working in these rugged mountains, pulling out these bright, lustrous green fluorite specimens which are quite different from the more famous and classic purple octahedrons formerly seen from claims in these mountains!. The crystals on this piece started out purple, and then shifted color to green as the solution flowing through the pocket changed. From the side, you can clearly see this color shift, and from the display face, you can see purple shadows through the fine translucent green crystals. 7 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm
