Beautiful, gemmy, cherry-red zincite crystals richly cover both sides of the contrasting calcite matrix on this superb thumbnail from famous Sterling Hill Mine of New Jersey. This is classic material, probably dating to the early to mid 1900s. The calcite fluoresces pink. Ex. George Ellling Collection.
