A shiny, brilliantly lustrous, historic cluster of tabular Azurites with a small amount of Malachite and ocherous limonite matrix. The tabular crystals of neon blue Azurite reach 2.8 cm across. The luster is superb, and it enhances the flashes of gemmy blue fire. When oriented with the contact down like the trunk of a tree, it certainly does have an arborescent aesthetic. The piece displays from many angles and should be seen in person - it really is hard to photograph, because of the high luster. This is one of the most classic styles from Bisbee, and probably came out in the early 1900s. Fine old miniature, with historic quality, from the noted locality of Bisbee!
