An old-time, sculptural malachite specimen from the Ural Mountains of Russia. A well-placed vug, with a portal, is lined with light green, banded malachite. The vug is filled with darker green, elongated, bubbly, botryoidal malachite. Very interesting accents are the smaller, sparkly, hollow balls of primary malachite on the botryoids. A classic specimen, accompanied by an old label from Vienna. This piece certainly dates to prior to World War I.
