An absolutely exquisite and extremely interesting oldtime Bisbee miniature. It consists of a very sharp, sizeable pseudomorph of malachite after azurite in the center, with superb, sharp and lustrous crystals of deep blue azurite flanking either side of it in a later 2nd generation of growth. Both the malachite pseudomorph and the azurites are all finely-terminated and damage-free, as well as complete all around! Really superb Bisbee pieces are just so darned hard to come by, you have to grab them when you can. This one, because of the size of the pseudomorph, the combination of several generations of azurite, and the overall beauty and condition of the piece, I rank very highly for a miniature US azurite from any locality. Of course, Bisbee is really the King of old US azurite locales and so that makes it historically special, as well. 4 x 3.5 x 2.3 cm
