From the new find in late Fall of 2005. Here is a great, classic locality specimen of Apatite from Bolivia. This small cabinet size piece features a few highly sought after, relatively sharp, pale pink, tabular crystals of Apatite measuring up to 1.6 cm sitting atop Quartz crystals. Matrix Apatite specimens from Siglo XX are very difficult to obtain, and this material was recently mined in the old, historic Contacto vein in the mine that produced some of the finest phosphate specimens from Siglo XX in the 1940's and 1950's. This material is rarely seen in today's market and it is one of the few matrix Apatite specimens I've had from this mine. This material has not been seen in many, many years. Ex. Brian Kosnar.
