This is a huge crystal of "hairy schorl," called this because of the fascinating termination that actually consists of thousands of tiny, individual hairlike terminations. There is some damage to the termination in back but it is in good shape on the display side, and the side faces have good luster. Side faces are decorated with muscovite and albite. Weighs 1.6 pounds! Valued at at least $4-500 but who knows? its not your usual tourmaline, that is for sure. 10.8 x 9.3 x 6.9 cm
