This beautiful plate, a small cabinet with sharp crystals to about 1 cm, was found in 1998. Morenci seldom produces such finely crystallized azurite in discrete crystals. The color is intense, deep, and riveting - as good as many old Bisbee finds, just with a little bit less luster. The piece is shown horizontally, though it perhaps displays better vertically with the arborescent outgrowths atop and the right side (which has some damage at the periphery) thus at the bottom. A very fine Morenci specimen. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
