Quartz (Var: Ametrine)
This amethyst crystal was naturally etched by corrosive solutions in the pocket into this weird form. Inside the jagged surface is a gemmy interior of great clarity and bright purple color, with hints of orangey citrine. You can see some of the original faces that were preserved, though smoothed, by the etching.
