This is a very geometric and just fascinating pseudomorph specimen from a find in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, called a "box cast." What you have are these huge blocky crystals of fluorite that have been pseudomorphed by sparkly, light amethystine quartz. Across the top lies a poker-chip calcite crystal which has also been pseudomorphed in this way. The largest of the pseudomorphs measures 9 cm along the edge. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.
