This is a very attractive and quintessential matrix Ruby specimen from the Siberian Urals. The well-formed hexagonal Rubies have the intense red color that is so desirable, and they are frozen in a metamorphic matrix. The largest crystal, which measures 1.7 cm across, is really attractive and has an intense, metallic glow on the basal faces. This is a balanced and aesthetic piece, and even better in person, where you can really appreciate the depth of the glow from the crystal.
