This is an incredibly dark purple Fluorite from an uncommon Irish locality. The cluster consists of a dozen cubic crystals modified by the dodecahedron ranging in size from 5 mm to 1.7 cm. Intense backlighting from the bottom reveals the intricacies of this intriguing Irish novelty! They have a medium purple core and then dark purple and blue-purple zones near the rims. They are in good condition save some contacting around the periphery. From the Jim Boteler fluorite collection.
