A very unusual pseudomorph: quartz has encrusted underlying sharp crystals of halite. On the underside, you can see some of the halite crystals in the hollow interior, now shrunken away from the quartz crust, which retains the original crystal form of the halites. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
