This is a sculpturally dramatic plate of penetration-twinned crystals of lustrous and translucent fluorite, to 4 cm across. The core of the crystals is a rich emerald green color while the crystal edges are a rich gemmy purple even in daylight (from the slight UV rays they catch and fluoresce to). Very showy piece, though it has no matrix, for the overall form! There is very minor edge wear only, nothing seriously detracting, but it is there. This specimen features some of the largest fluorite crystals yet found in the recent mining at the Rogerly mine, and come from the last pocket found in the digging season of 2007.
