A translucent, raspberry-red, trigonal Tourmaline crystal from the well-known finds in Burma. These "mushroom" shaped Rubellites are some of the most unusual Tourmalines ever found and they are much sought after. I marvel at not only the trigonal shape visible when looking down the C-axis, but the overall mushroom shape, as well. The radial growth is also attractive where exposes on the one side. A fine, highly representative specimen with this unusual morphology.
