The recent finds of the sharp and lustrous azurite crystals from the Milpillas Mine of Sonora, Mexico were one the highlights of recent Denver and Tucson Shows and was documented in the Mineralogical Record. The azurites are compared favorably with the best of worldwide localities, such as Tsumeb, Touissit and Bisbee. This showy piece features sharp, highly lustrous, striated, royal-blue to midnight-blue azurite crystals to 1.8 cm on a platy azurite matrix accented with quartz and malachite.
