Good Jeffrey Mine garnets have become very hard to obtain since the official closing of the mine. And though this is not a large specimen overall, the crystal itself is HUGE - a SUPERB, pure gem compound crystal, clear as glass and bright as can be! It lacks the common striations on the faces, making it even brighter. There is a contact on the side of one crystal, and a couple of micro-bruises, but as you can see, this is a very impressive example of a now rare garnet! Ex. Ed Swoboda collection.
