The shape gives it away - a perfect octahedron of diamond in absolutely gem quality, cutting and faceting level. We rescue stones like this rare, complete, perfect crystal from the cutters in the NYC diamond market, where they otherwise eventually get cut for the valuable core of rough in the middle. It is awesomely clean and gemmy, for a perfect gem crystal specimen at 1.75 carats!
