EXCELLENT Silver ingot from the San Francisco Mint. The oval stamp on it is the original of three generations of seals, thus dating this back to the late 1800's, and probably the Comstock Lode. The patina and condition are superb, with the serial number of 220 placing it very early in the series of ingots produced. It is measured at 999.75, FINE, with a weight of 6.15 ounces. Used as a form of currency, if chosen to do so, Silver bars from this era, especially this first generation, are very scarce and much in demand. THIS BAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH A NICE PATINA. 1 ounce bars have recently sold for $300-400.
