Some old paperwork that came with this HUGE, RICH, 3-pound specimen of covellite from Butte shows it to have been mined at the Leonard Mine in 1942. You can see all sorts of color-tones in this dense covellite specimen, including the prized blue, along with gold and purple hues. Massive, but beautiful, solid covellite here!
