These fine prehnites from Mali are now familiar to most collectors, often associated with thick black crystals of epidote. This one, though, is superb, both for its size and quality. Under good light the whole thing just lights up, a fabulous grassy green color. The botryoidal surface, if you look very closely, has the micro-bladed appearance characteristic of prehnite.
