These “mushroom” Tourmalines have become a classic from Myanmar and are admired for their luscious red-pink color and organic shape. This aesthetic piece consists of one larger (4.1 cm) and one smaller (2.3 cm), very rich dark pink-red, pointed mushroom Elbaite Tourmaline caps displaying a satin luster and the underside reveals a core of black Schorl Tourmaline for each of the crystals from earlier in its interesting growth history. It is in excellent condition and exhibits nice 3-dimensional form with a small yellowish Quartz crystal on the front that provides a great accent. These mushroom Tourmalines are not common now that there is an import embargo from Burma to the U.S. and specimen mining has declined in this area. This little gem reaches 5cm across.
