This important blue apatite from a classic old USA locality was part of the significant and large East Coast suite of both Ernie Schlichter, and later in the Shields Flynn collection. There is no telling how old this may be. It could be 1970s or it could be 1870s, given Ernie's sources for such things. In any case, it is extremely rare to see such a specimen from Maine, and it features a beautiful and intact blue apatite crystal (1.4 cm long) perched nicely on matrix.
