On a matrix of pretty much solid chrysocolla and malachite are these beautiful stalactitic forms of bright robin's-egg blue chrysocolla layered with malachite, speckled with tiny discrete crystals of malachite. The Kolwezi copper-mining district has been turning out all sorts of wonderful copper-mineral specimens, and this is certainly a cool one.
