This variety of malachite is called "velvet" for obvious reasons - its shimmering quality caused by the fans of fibrous crystals. Really gorgeous material! This one came out of the collection of Bruce Carter. It is, in person, quite mesmerizing. 7.6 x 7.0 x 3.5 cm
