These dipyramidal crystals create a sweet example of Ojuela Adamite. The banded iron oxides (probably goethite) and stereotypically red gossan matrix boldly accentuate the blocky Adamite. The combination of green and mauve colored crystals set this piece apart. While there is a contact on the front of the specimen, this crisp example of the zinc arsenate mineral captures attention. This specimen can be displayed in multiple orientations, so it is up to the collector to decide which feature they want to highlight. On top of that, under shortwave and longwave UV light, this piece fluoresces a bright neon green caused by trace uranyl ion impurities! A delightful miniature!
