This is a monster specimen of the famous "water-clear" fluorite mined in the early 1980s at Dalnegorsk. The surface of the specimen is completely covered by hundreds of these clear fluorite cubes (maybe 200?). They are accented by little bursts of tan-colored quartz. The fluorites measure to 1.5 cm, though most are smaller. THERE IS ALMOST ZERO DAMAGE! These clear cubes have stopped coming out, and it is too bad, because they are amongst the most pristine fluorites that have ever been found. Have you ever seen hundreds of them together on one specimen? This is just an astonishing piece for its size and richness. Ex. Fersman Museum of Moscow back in the early 90s, probably 93-95.
