A fascinating old New Mexico silver specimen, a slice through a mixed-matrix ore. Locked inside the matrix, you can see the tree-like (dendritic) forms of native silver, which actually crystallized in these pretty forms rather than just being massive - which is normally what you see in these mine slices. Ex. Dave Stoudt collection.
