Exceptional pair of large Cordierite crystals, with Chalcopyrite, from this metamorphosed Cu-Zn mine in Ontario. The Cordierites have a good, almost waxy, luster, and are actually glassy in the interior. One of the crystals is terminated, and both are set within metallic, iridescent, massive Chalcopyrite. Crystals this large (6 cm), and this well-defined, are quite unusual.
