Amazonite is one of the most classic of American mineral finds, but try to find a REALLY good thumbnail example, that is not pale or just a single crystal! It is hard to find a competition-worthy amazonite. This is one such, from a special pocket with intensely saturated color, found on August 12th 1975 by Richard Kosnar. This stayed with him until passing to Wendell Wilson in 1998, and then to Jim Houran. A perfect Thumbnail for the competitive thumbnail style of display. A complete floater!
