A cluster of glassy and gemmy topazolite crystals, to 1.2 cm in length, has nearly covered the metasomatized garnet matrix. These are bright and lustrous, and very gemmy! You can see the matrix through the crystals. The color is brown-olive, as if it is in between topazolite and demantoid in hue
