An old classic from the late 1970s or around 1980, this is from the "wheat sheaf pocket" and readily identifiable by the unique style of crystals that never came out like this again. Cherry red gemmy secondary coverings lay over a stawberry-colored core, giving them a unique look. These are the best style, as they are not too clustered, and stand out a bit form the black manganese ore matrix. Rarely seen for sale, these days. Photo by Joe Budd.
