This is an elegant, gracefully tapering crystal of 38 grams that features superbly contrasted terminations on either end. From the Bill Larson Collection. He self-collected the specimen in the early 1980s. It is pristine, complete all around, and has excellent luster and translucency. The uniform color saturation without much gradient is unusual for this mine, where tourmalines tend to be multihued and show color gradations throughout.
