This exceptional cluster of lime-green crystals is rare in several regards. One, it is large without having gone "lumpy" as so many larger periodots seem to do. Sharp crystals of such size are EXTREMELY uncommon. Secondly, it is complete and undamaged all around, and displays magnificently as a small cab gem crystal for a species we normally expect to see only in miniature and smaller sizes. Lastly, it positively glows with color when backlit, going from pale lime to intense lime green. When displayed properly in a showcase, this one has IMPACT. I cannot overemphasize how rare such a large cluster is. But, aside from that, the sharp terminations and excellent display qualities make it truly significant - and I do not use the word lightly. Weight opn this hefty piece is 175 grams. 6.1 x 3.7 x 3.5 cm
