A striking, highly unusual, two-sided malachite specimen from the Mudinge Hole at the Mashamba West Mine of Zaire. One side consists of banded, light green malachite clusters with strange raised peaks in their centers. The other side has the typical, forest-green, botryoidal, velvet malachite look, but again has a very sculptural look to it. Interestingly, the contact areas between the botryoids have a very different type of malachite: lighter green, glassy needles.
