Massive, white witherite matrix is the host for a few very lustrous, white, witherite crystals to 3.5 cm in length, exhibiting parallel growth. Old museum label on this one. Clearly from the old Illinois fluorspar district and if it were modern one could say it was from one mine or another, but at the time this was found (it's an older specimen), we cannot say which mine for sure. Ex. Carnegie Museum Collection.
