A rare combination of superb sharp nepheline crystals nestled in matrix of minute schorlomite (a rare garnet family member): Nestled aesthetically in a vug are sharp hexagonal prisms, to 2 cm in length, of the uncommon sodium, potassium silicate, nepheline. The crystals are a light tan color and are textbook sharp. In addition, there are a few, very lustrous, black, partially terminated crystals of a rare member of the garnet family, schorlomite.
