An aesthetic Uchucchacua Mine specimen of lustrous, gemmy cherry-red rhodochrosite crystals with two habits in a vug of lustrous, botryoidal manganese. Two isolated doubly-terminated rhodo crystals to 1.9 cm sit above a cluster of rhodo scalenohedrons to 1.6 cm. This fine piece sits up very nicely by itself and the back has been sawed, which is normal for many of the finer pieces from this mine. There is a trivial bruise on the termination of the smaller doubly-terminated rhodochrosite crystal, but it does not impair this beautiful specimen. Large and dramatic piece, overall! 8.7 x 6.7 x 4.6 cm`
