This is quite simply the largest fine Ruyuan fluorite specimen I have ever seen or know about. These fluorites came out in modest numbers for only a short time, then became scarce and expensive (see recent Min. Record China issue for more on these). It is quite hard now to find nice-looking,, undamaged crystals on matrix, and the Chinese dealers value them highly and charge plenty for them. This was a rare fluke, found at the Costa Mesa show. Believe it or not, despite its size, the crystal is UNDAMAGED and complete all around; measuring 12 cm across (!!); with just a bit of matrix to add an accent. It has gorgeous crenellated terminations. A wonderful and important fluorite specimen! 13.8 x 9.8 x 8.2 cm
