A most unusual herderite! I have never seen another like it. This greenish crystal is shaped more like a garnet than any herderite I had ever seen, and has glassy luster unusual for a herd. I would have gussed a weird garnet, myself, on first sight. It is complete and well formed on front and sides, and is also complete on the back although the back includes some attached matrix and so is not as nicely crystallized as the front - still, though, a floater.
